| Developing mathematics for pupils with SEND | Suitable for all teachers and higher level teaching assistants who teach or deliver mathematics programmes within primary, secondary and special schools. | Maths in Stories | This group will work collaboratively with other Special Schools and local Mainstream Primary Schools to identify mathematical content within stories. The group will develop schemes of work, an assessment framework, and linked resource boxes for each of the stories.
They will develop planning which cross references with Literacy and Communication so that integrated teaching sessions can be delivered. Links will be further established with Reading university |
